So when a Syrian rebel cuts out a heart of a dead soldier and eats it on camera, the news is of the rolling bulletin/24hr on all news shows variety, replete with blurred footage of the crime in question. Does it matter that the original video is extremely graphic? That it is no more verifiable than the millions of videos uploaded online from the Syria civil war? It does not.
